A process that fits your business
The reporting scope depends on your entity and purpose. Reports for management, a tax return or another stakeholder may require different information and preparation. We confirm whether the engagement is for bookkeeping reports, financial statement preparation or another defined purpose; preparation is not the same as an audit.
What to expect from our support
We agree the reporting period, comparative figures and the questions you want the reports to answer. Missing records and unreconciled balances are dealt with before the report is treated as complete. A review discussion can help you identify follow-up actions for the business.
Getting started
Tell us about your business structure, accounting software and the work you want help with. We review the information and agree the scope, responsibilities and fee before beginning. Existing accountant relationships can be retained, with a clear handover of the records needed.
During onboarding, we confirm access permissions, document collection and any authority required for lodgements. You keep control of approvals and receive questions where a transaction or decision needs your input.
Questions about financial reporting
Can you provide monthly reports?
Yes. We can agree a monthly reporting pack and the date by which records need to be available.
Are these audited financial statements?
No. An audit is a separate assurance engagement. We confirm the purpose and level of service before preparing reports.
Can you help with a budget?
Budget preparation and comparison to actual results can be included in an agreed reporting scope.
